The Nothing Phone (2a) is a smartphone by Nothing. The phone was announced on 5 March 2024[1] and released on 12 March, 2024. The Nothing Phone 2a surpassed 100,000 units sold in its first day after release.[2]

edit- The Nothing Phone (2a) features a Mediatek Dimensity 7200 Pro (4 nm) chipset.
- It has three variants based on its storage space and memory: 128 GB 8 GB RAM, 256 GB 8 GB RAM, 256 GB 12 GB RAM.[3]
- There are four variants on the basis of its color: black, white, milk and blue.[4]
- It has a display size of 170 millimetres (6.7 in) (1080x2412 pixels, 20:9 ratio), AMOLED, 120 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness at 1300 nits
- It contains a 45 W battery with 5000 mAh capacity.
- It weighs 190 grams (6.7 oz) and has a thickness of 8.6 mm (0.34 in).
- It has a glass front (Gorilla Glass 5), a plastic frame and a plastic back.
- It has a dual SIM slot (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by).
- IP54 rated - splash, water and dust resistant.
- 3 arrays of LED lights on the back, called Glyph Interface.
Software
editThe phone comes out of the box with Nothing OS 2.5.5 installed, which is based on Android 14.
Community Edition
editThis is a project by Nothing to collaborate with their growing community. In this variation of the phone, the community is allowed to be a part of creating the phone in four sectors: hardware design, wallpaper design, packaging design and marketing. Each part of development includes submissions from participants, which are then viewed by the community and then they vote for their favourites. The winning design's makers get to work with the actual team at Nothing which is involved in the creation of the phone and all other aspects of production.[citation needed]
