The Novena
editA novena may be made at any time of the year, with any form of approved prayers. The novena to Saint Michael is customarily prayed on the nine days before the traditional feast day of September 29.[1] A variety of prayers and formats may be used. Prayers commonly used are the Prayer to Saint Michael, the Chaplet of Saint Michael or a Litany.[2][3]
Prayer to St. Michael
editSt. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits that prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.[4]
