Peter Bishop (14 June 1917 — 3 June 2012) was an Australian neurophysiologist whose research involved study of the mammalian visual system.

He was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science in 1967[1] and Fellow of the Royal Society in 1977.[2] He was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 1985 in recognition of his contribution to physiology.[3]
