History
editPorozal was created on 30 November 1995 by Decreto Ejecutivo 24809-G. Segregated from Cañas.[2]
Geography
editPorozal has an area of 105.23 square kilometres (40.63 sq mi)[3] and an elevation of 35 metres (115 ft).[1]
Villages
editAdministrative center of the district is the village of Porozal.
Other villages in the district Brisas, Eskameca, Guapinol, Pozas, Puerto Alegre, Quesera, Santa Lucía, Taboga (partly) and Tiquirusas.
