Business news

Alsoriano97 First of all I come in peace my friend. I just want to talk about your recent reverts of the business stories in todays current events page and give you my argument on why they should be posted. I don't want to get into an edit conflict so I think we should come to a consensus. If no consensus is made then we can leave the articles off. So firstly for the TransUnion story I have already re-added. In your edit notes you said you removed the stories because they didn't concern multinational corporations. Being that TransUnion is in fact a multinational corporation I felt it would be a non-issue if I reverted it. To the story about the SEC fine against GTV Media I want to point you to Wikipedia:In the news#Significance. It states in the guidelines "Arguments about a story relating to a particular geographic region, country, ethnicity, people group, etc. are generally seen as unhelpful. Almost all news is of greater interest to a particular place and/or group of people than to the world at large, and arguing that something should or should not be posted, solely because of where the event happened, or who might be "interested" in it because of its location, are not usually met with concurrence from the community." I feel that your argument that it needs to be a multinational corporate action to be appropriate for news does not hold up. This is actually an ongoing story here in the United States relating to Steve Bannon and the Trump Administration, also the businessman who is tied to these companies has his fingers in multiple businesses accross the globe. Another note is that this story is being covered by international news sources like this one here. I hope we can come to a consensus and if anyone else wants to jump in please do! --Newsjunky12 (talk) 16:08, 13 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
