S Line
edit- ...that the S Line, which began operation in December 2013, is the first operating street car line in Utah in 50 years? Dave (talk) 18:12, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- I'm putting this here as I probably should have nominated this for the "in the news" section back in December. However, if retroactively adding news items is ok, maybe that would be a better place for this. Dave (talk) 18:12, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Actually, adding it to the news section is appropriate. It's fairly common for news items to wait a few weeks before getting added to that section for a few reasons, including the fact that this is Wikipedia and not Wikinews (which itself implies that we don't have to have the most absolutely up-to-date news section), and it takes longer for me to research worldwide rail news to make a more complete and fully referenced news item. Plus I've gotten so little participation in editing the news section from other editors that it will often go a couple months between updates because it is normally left entirely to me to research and edit the content for it. - OK I gave it a stab. That's the first time I've attempted to add something to the portal directly, so forgive any formatting errors.Dave (talk) 18:47, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
- Looks great, thanks! Now we'll wait until that cycles out of the news section to use a different fact from the article in the DYK section. Slambo (Speak) 11:46, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
