During a storm on 5 February, she floated off the reef and several days later the motor vessel Takue ( United States) discovered her and towed her to the north coast of Sumner Island (56°24′22″N 133°48′09″W / 56.4061°N 133.8025°W), where she was beached. Her hull damage was so severe that she was deemed a total loss.[25] |
