Papuascincus stanleyanus is a species of skink, a lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to New Guinea.[3]

Etymology
editThe specific name, stanleyanus, refers to the Owen Stanley Range.[4]
Foreign language common names
editP. stanleyanus is known as kls or mabdagol in the Kalam language of Papua New Guinea.[5]
Habitat
editPapuascincus stanleyanus is commensal with humans, and is often found in human settlements. In the Upper Kaironk Valley of Madang Province, Papua New Guinea, it is the most common small lizard found in houses.[5]
