Shamshir Rural District

Shamshir Rural District (Persian: دهستان شمشير) is in the Central District of Paveh County, Kermanshah province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Shamshir.[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Churizhi.[5]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 8,680 in 2,138 households.[6] There were 9,167 inhabitants in 2,593 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 10,234 in 3,044 households. The most populous of its eight villages was Durisan, with 3,500 people.[2]
