Suriname competed at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, from 19 to 27 August 2023.[1] Although the nation's only competitor, Issam Asinga, is provisionally suspended due to the presence of an experimental drug in his urine sample, so the nations participation is currently unknown as of 20 August 2023, whether or not Asinga's B sample tests out as negative.[2]
