editSwatantra Senani SuperFast was initially introduced between New Delhi and Muzaffarpur. Later it got extended to Darbhanga and then in 2017 this train got extended to Jaynagar

editAs the route is fully electrified, it runs with Kanpur / Gomoh-based WAP-7 (HOG)-equipped locomotive from end to end.
From 13 September 2020 the operating speed of this train has been raised to 130 km/h between Varanasi junction (Banaras) and Ghaziabad.
