Wrong prison name?
editFrom the article: "The military officers tortured Kaypakkaya under custody in Diyarbakır Prison, infamous for its brutal treatment of inmates, for 4 months."
According to the Wikipedia article on Diyarbakır Prison, the prison was opened in 1980, several years after Kaypakkaya's death. Josh (talk) 00:58, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
- Diyarbakir Prison was established in 1864 Freyheytlid (talk) 21:11, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

- Huh, I guess the link doesn't work. I'll copy the writing. This is footnote one, page 187, O Sevdirenalternatives to imprisonment in England and wales, Germany and Turkey
- The footnote says: the first prison in the modern sense was established in 1831 with the name of Hapishane-i Umumi. This was followed by other prisons: Nevsehir (1849), Diyarbakir (1864), Sürüc (1852) , Manavgat (1852), Vezirköprü (1870)… Erzurum (1900) … Kinik (1907)…" Freyheytlid (talk) 21:17, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

editThis article sounds like party propaganda! And the photo is not a biographical, but a commerative one; so it should be changed. Evren Güldoğan (talk) 23:42, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
I rate the article as a stub in Wikiproject Terrorism; becuase it lacks sufficient information on the life of this terrorist and his doctrinal views as well as his legacy. More references are required. I'll translate certain parts of the Turkish article and check the external links to improve it to the start level. The part about the party he created should be another topic.

There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.
The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.
Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 17:17, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
