10.75×68mm → 10.75×68mm Mauser – Recognising this page was moved almost exactly one year ago, I suggest the name be changed again to be consistent with other Mauser cartidges such as 7×57mm Mauser and 7.92×57mm Mauser along with other European metric cartridges such as 6.5×54mm Mannlicher–Schönauer, 7.5×55mm Swiss and 9.3×64mm Brenneke. Cavalryman V31 (talk) 22:26, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Since Mauser himself had a direct part in the design of every Mauser cartridge this name change is appropriate. Digitallymade (talk) 23:03, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- To someone whose mind is not centered on guns, a measurement without attached disambiguater could mean many things. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 07:54, 31 March 2018 (UTC)
- Support this move (or any sort of move) per reasons listed above for clarity and consistency with other pages. Paintspot Infez (talk) 19:12, 1 April 2018 (UTC)
- User:Cavalryman V31, what about 6.5×55mm, 9.3×57mm, and 9×57mm, which don't use "Mauser"? Dekimasuよ! 20:07, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
- Yes good point, following the outcome of this RM, if supported, I suggest we initiate a joint RM for the latter two, the former probably requires its own. Kind regards, Cavalryman V31 (talk) 21:23, 4 April 2018 (UTC).
- Support. The current is hopeless at identifying the topic. Consider 10.75×68mm rifle cartridge or 10.75×68mm Mauser rifle cartridge. The most important thing about this topic is that it is a rifle. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 04:39, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
- @SmokeyJoe: thank you for your suggestions, unfortunately the names you have suggested are inconsistent with the current naming conventions for firearm cartridges across the project so I feel they are beyond the scope of this RM. Kind regards, Cavalryman V31 (talk) 07:03, 5 April 2018 (UTC).
