This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed, feel free to ask me on my talk page and I'll review it personally. Thanks. ---J.S (t|c) 06:45, 7 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Says who? As has been proven in courts all around the world (but maybe not in the corporate-mad world of the USA) linking to copyright "violations" is no offence. Even if it were, who gives a shit? Why should Wikipedia bow to those corporate capitalist money-grabbing record companies? Are you implying that someone who records a song from the radio is violating copyright? Of course they're not and nobody in the world would dream of prosecuting for it. How is recording a song and putting it on the Tube any different? Wikipedia doesn't have adverts because they want to remain independent yet Wikipedia seems happy to bow to every demand of copyright holders (who generally are multi-billion dollar companies and not the artist concerned). The ordinary people of this world don't give a shit about copyright.--217.203.147.60 (talk) 21:02, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:The Battle for Everything.jpg

edit

Image:The Battle for Everything.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!
