Assessment
edit@Petebutt: When checking against B-class requirements, one of the items not seen as passing is references. Are the references utilized in the article not reliable sources? Is not each sentence referenced to a source?
Another item not seen as passing is grammar. Are there any significant spelling issues? Any egregious sentence or paragraph structures?
I can understand why coverage is not checked off, as documents relating to the investigation of 1959 crash are not readily available on the internet, and if it was could surely be used to expand the content of the article. That said are there any sources readily available on the internet regarding the article's subject which are missing from this article?--RightCowLeftCoast (Moo) 00:00, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
- Just means I didn't check them out. Someone else may come and do a thorough assessment. There is no problem, just be patient. Regarding the 2008 hornet crash : it is not relevant to the article and only warrants the link which I put in the See also section. if you want someonre to assess the article, be prepared for edits!!--Petebutt (talk) 06:39, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

About the pilot?
editArticle cites more about the accident than the heroism of the pilot, Ensign Hickman? How about an article about him too? 2600:6C48:7006:200:B056:6066:1296:EF0B (talk) 00:59, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- No, he is apparently only notable for the crash - any additional info that is relevant can be put in this article.50.111.3.59 (talk) 18:53, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
2008 Crash
editIt seems to me this article devotes too much space to discussion of this later crash -- which does have its own article on Wikipedia. To me, it comes across like there is a reason -- an agenda -- for this unusual side-topic discussion.
The comparison of the two crashes seems to inherently imply that if the pilot in the 1959 crash acted heroically, then the pilot in the 2008 crash acted selfishly, or at least foolishly. Yet the separate article on the 2008 crash states that the pilot in that case, when he flew his crippled plane into a more populated area, was only following the orders of not just one superior officer but of a team of superior officers. Officers who were aware his plane was having problems. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:B930:7B90:256E:21E3:D71A:D3B6 (talk) 09:55, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- No agenda - stating what the Reliable Sources state. Not sure how you read into it what you say you did. Strange. 50.111.3.59 (talk) 18:55, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
