I am still reviewing and will perform a thorough copyedit, but wanted to note some initial concerns I had in reviewing the article. These are mostly 3a concerns.
- There is a deadlink; please check using the External link tool to the right and correct.
- It appears as if Google newspapers stopped its holding of the Palm Beach Post for the time being... I'll see if I can find something to replace this. Disc Wheel (T + C) 16:53, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
- Found a source!Disc Wheel (T + C) 14:00, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
- Site selection: Anything on why the Superdome was selected as the host of the 1982 Final Four? This is common in championship game articles in other sports where the venue is not the same every year.
- I didn't quite find stuff along the lines that you asked, but I did find some interesting info. Disc Wheel (T + C) 17:24, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
- Pregame coverage: Can anything be added as to what the media was saying about the teams prior to the game?
- Added what I could find. Disc Wheel (T + C) 15:58, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- Aftermath:
- The comments regarding Dean Smith's record in championship games should probably be moved to a Pregame coverage section, since they occurred prior to the game and seem out of place here.
- This subject is covered in the pregame coverage section already. Disc Wheel (T + C) 16:53, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
- The 1982 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament article talked about the NBA / Hall of Fame legacy of players such as Jordan, Worthy, and Ewing. I think text such as that should be added to this section.
- Copy that, added. Disc Wheel (T + C) 16:53, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, –Grondemar 23:51, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
- I'm running low on free time at the moment, but I will see what I can address. Disc Wheel (T + C) 16:53, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
- I've addressed all the issues outlined I believe. Disc Wheel (T + C) 02:38, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

This will be my next article I review. I will look at it soon. Will211 (talk) 01:59, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
It is well written
editthe prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct
and it complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.
Lead
edit- The Dean Smith led North Carolina were anchored by Junior and First–team All-American James Worthy. -Sentence dose not make sense.
- winning it all in 1984. -Informal and should be changed.
These are the only problems I have found with the lead. Will211|Chatter 03:49, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
- Fixed these a couple of days ago, just forgot to say i did. Disc Wheel (T + C) 01:13, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

- Sorry for the lack of a review. I've found myself very busy lately with little time. I hope to get the review up by the end of the weekend. Will211|Chatter 04:15, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
Okay, I have made some minor edits but the article as a whole looks to pass GA criteria. One thing I would like to point out is try to be a bit more formal with writing, rather than calling North Carolina "Carolina", stick with formality and say "North Carolina." You can look through my edits if you would like to see what I mean. Okay, that aside, I plan on promoting this to GA, nice work on writing with detail without making the article excessive and boring. Good Work! Will211|Chatter 04:54, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
