@Aviationwikiflight The accident is known as the Ljósufjöll air crash (Icelandic: Flugslysið í Ljósufjöllum) in Iceland, where its notability stems from. It is never referenced in relation to the plane type or the airline. The article title should reflect that. Alvaldi (talk) 14:39, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

The name Ljósufjöll is very well known in the country where this accident is notable, specifically in relations with this accident (the radio series about the accident that was made 34 years later was called Ljósufjöll). The WP:COMMONNAME of the accident is Flugslysið í Ljósufjöllum which translates to Ljósufjöll air crash. Other Wikipedia articles about aviation crashes have similar names, such as the 2020 Calabasas helicopter crash. Alvaldi (talk) 22:12, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
