- 2014 Washington state wildfires → 2014 Washington wildfires
- 2015 Washington state wildfires → 2015 Washington wildfires
– WP:CONCISE, obviously. WP:CONSISTENCY with List of Washington wildfires and 2012 California wildfires et al. A wildfire in Washington, D.C. is essentially not possible, and the current phrasing seems to suggest something called a "state wildfire". Disambiguation is one thing, but there's no need to condescend like this to our readers. --BDD (talk) 13:59, 26 August 2015 (UTC)
