Should GTA V be listed here?

edit

The reveal trailer didn't say when it was comning out, why should we assume that's it's coming out in 2012? Shouldn't we wait for Rockstar's corroboration for something like "Summer 2012" before adding it to the 2012 in video gaming page? MAINEiac4434 (talk) 16:35, 23 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

No it shouldn't be listed here as no release date, WHAT SO EVER, has even been announced yet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.214.52.117 (talk) 05:33, 17 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Should Guild Wars 2 be listed here?

edit

Yes, The developers of Guild Wars 2 (ArenaNet) said they were going to release the game this year (2012). But no exact date even the quarter has been given yet. -- User:Veniks (talk) 02:08, 11 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Q1 Ommitted

edit

Where is the Q1 (January-March0 section? It was still there last night. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.234.41.196 (talk) 07:24, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Enhanced Re-releases

edit

Do these pages usually list those kind of releases? Like would it be okay to add BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend even though it's not really a full-blown sequel? 69.225.237.184 (talk) 01:12, 12 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Katawa Shoujo

edit

There's some misunderstanding regarding whether visual novels should be treated as video games. Wikipedia itself treats them as a subgenre of adventure games, so I don't see why Katawa Shoujo can't be listed here. --CoolingGibbon (talk) 09:43, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I think we need to restructure how visual novels are treated. They're more akin to books than video games. --Tydrace

True, however unlike books, visual novels offer the player certain choices, which are more akin to video games. Not to mention they are treated as games when they are released on PCs and consoles, as opposed to digitized books. --CoolingGibbon (talk) 10:41, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

That's why I'm suggesting a restructure. There should be a difference between visual novels and ones that actually have gameplay. Look at the difference between Phoenix Wright and Katawa Shoujo. Choices =/= video games. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tydrace (talkcontribs) 11:04, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

I think both Phoenix Wright as well as Katawa Shoujo treat their respective subject matters in similar ways. However, it seems the article on Katawa Shoujo has been written in a manner that is more befitting of an actual book, as opposed to any sort of gameplay style, which contributes to the confusion. This is just my opinion though, but I'm sure someone might be able to find proper references to support it. But either way, whether visual novels need to be marginalized from "proper" games is something that should be discussed thoroughly before some sort of consensus may be reached. Till then it's best to include Katawa Shoujo in this list. --CoolingGibbon (talk) 12:06, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Visual novels are as much as video games as browsing wikipedia is. Needs to be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.164.216.62 (talk) 11:41, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Katawa Shoujo has no gameplay and a few choices. It's like reading a book and that's not a video game. Because of this, we must remove it from the list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.123.226.159 (talk) 20:19, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition

edit

Is not this gonna be put into the current list? Game is going to be released first on 28th February. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 180.234.42.245 (talk) 14:10, 21 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ridge Racer: Unbounded

edit

Why is it not in the list whereas there is a full-on page about it on Wikipedia. Update: it is added. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.147.168.168 (talk) 18:48, 1 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wii U or WiiU?

edit

Is the Wii U officially called the WiiU (with no space) now? If the page's name is "Wii U", but every link to it says "WiiU", does the article for "Wii U" itself need to be moved to "WiiU"? Alphius (talk) 16:47, 15 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

No, the space is removed just to shorten the name. It's still officially called Wii U. --CoolingGibbon (talk) 05:46, 21 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Fixed error on Guild Wars 2

edit

It was listed as being available as on Mac and that is not the case. It is receiving no official Mac client, presumably someone added it as being available on Mac because there are reports it works in Wine and it obviously works using Bootcamp or a VM running Windows. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Squishy3 (talkcontribs) 01:37, 22 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Removing Shellrazer

edit

SuperNerdMan83 (talk) 05:32, 27 August 2012 (UTC) Hello I'll like to bring to the notice that probably the video game "Shellrazer" is not needed here. It has no article so it should probably be deleted. I don't know how to use a talk page sorry.Reply

Added EVE Online: Retribution; Broke table

edit

I noticed that Rift's upcomming expansion had been placed on the table, I was unsure to add EVE Online but upon noticing Rift I decided to go ahead. I added the entry exactly as you should (to my knowledge) in between Hawken and Far Cry 3 but it wouldn't sit correctly.

>D<br />E<br />C<br />E<br />M<br />B<br />E<br |/>R | rowspan="2"| 4 | Far Cry 3 | Win, PS3, X360 |- | EVE Online: Retribution | Win |- | | 12 | Hawken | Win |}

So I resorted to adding an extra column in the Hawken entry so it sat right. It still sits outside the the month of December. Can someone please fix it and enlighten me on how to enter data?

Cant even get the data above to appear right. Read it in edit mode to understand my problem.

Fix'd

Far Cry 3 (Release Date)

edit

Surely the release date should not December 4 as it releases in Australia, Europe and the UK before this date. Therefore the release date should be November 29, 2012.

--Troggy3112 (Talk2Me) 10:00, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

As far as I can tell this list uses North American release dates. However, as this is not pointed out in the article itself I think someone should add this info. Zackuber (talk) 13:42, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Question

edit

I had noticed that there had been many popular video game collections released in the 2012 but how come "Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection" was not included in "Game Releases" section. Of the year 2011?

This was a very popular video game collection released in 2011. Here are the release dates: http://www.vgreleases.com/ps3/ReleaseDate-851998.aspx Pls add this in the list. Thanks. Thanks Technical! 112.209.158.200 (talk) 09:34, 14 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please be patient. Someone will make the edit at some point. Or you can make it yourself, but you cannot use the VGreleases reference as it is an unreliable site. - X201 (talk) 10:02, 14 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Alright X201. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks
