editThe infobox now supports this basin. A test example is available at my sandbox here. --Anirudh Emani (talk) 18:32, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
- @Anirudh Emani: Hi there. Since no one replied to you about this in the last month, maybe reply it to a user or admin who edits the most in the SHem cyclone seasons, especially this one like: Supportstorm, Jason Rees or Cyclonebiskit. Also I've seen your sandbox and it looks great. Well done and have a Merry Christmas :) Typhoon2013 (talk) 01:46, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
SWIO Lesser Tropical Systems
editI have contacted La Reunion about what to do with storms tracked in the ITCZ advisories. As it stands they should be left in or at the very least mentioned in the "Other storms" section. Will post response if I get one. Supportstorm (talk) 18:05, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
The ITCZ daily outlook can not be consider as a warning advisory. It is only a daily diagnose of the state of the SWIO tropics and a probability of cyclogenesis. We usually issue regular numbered warnings over our area of responsibility for tropical system that as reached Maximum Winds at 25kt (Tropical Disturbance Stage), sometimes at earlier stage, if needed. If an area of disturbed weather is mentioned but not numbered within the ITCZ daily outlook, it can therefore not be consider as a storm for the season. The exemple you mentioned can not consequently be consider as the first storm of the 2014/2015 South West Indian Ocean Cyclonic Season. The first system of the 2014/2015 season is the currently monitored ADJALI. Regards

Bakung
editIm afraid we are in an unfortuante postion thanks to RSMC La Reunion who called Bakung Remnant Low 3 in their one and only advisory at 06z this morning. The way i see it is that we could ignore the .24 degrees that Jakarta/Darwins last warning and call it a tropical storm within the SWIO, however that maybe original research. Im not sure i like the sound of giving it a full section or introducing an other systems sections yet so i suppose the best option in my opinon is too note that the system moved into the SWIO and was imediately declared an RL by Reunion in the seasonal summuary section - Unless off course it regenerates.Jason Rees (talk) 22:20, 13 December 2014 (UTC)
- Oh, wow, I didn't catch La Reunion calling it Remnant low 03; however, per the email response, it will not be included in the season stats because they never released a RSMC warning on it. I like Reunion, but they really need to be more consistent in their practices. Lets go along with your suggestion in adding a note to the summary section. It sounds reasonable considering the mess that the warning agencies have created for us. Supportstorm (talk) 00:16, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
- Um yeah they did issue an RSMC Advisory on it, but strangley it isnt on their website yet. Also one thing i have noticed in the SHEM is that the warning centres assign designations ahead of time in cases like this. Jason Rees (talk) 00:29, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, so it is a recognized system. We should handle it like the other storms I suppose. Unless you want to do something else? Supportstorm (talk) 00:53, 14 December 2014 (UTC)
- I dont think its worth adding in an other storms section yet, so i think we should just handle it in the Seasonal Summuary. Unless it regenerates which is a possibiility.Jason Rees (talk) 14:31, 14 December 2014 (UTC)

- Hi guys. I was worried that why it is called "Remnant low" 03 by the agency. Since it hasn't happened before, I think they recognized it as a tropical disturbance when it was in the border and downgraded it to a remnant low (if there is a reliable source found in the internet). Don't you guys think? Typhoon2013 (talk) 01:41, 16 December 2014 (UTC)
