Cancelled due to COVID
editWell after all that, I have just heard that this event has fallen foul of the worsening COVID-19 situation in Prague. Always that chance with any sporting event at the moment. Bs1jac (talk) 08:14, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Bs1jac: The fixtures appeared now in the ICC calendar after it has been cancelled. ICC is way slow. Human (talk) 06:51, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
- @A Simple Human: Yeah I saw that. Funny how they fail to keep up! Bs1jac (talk) 08:26, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

2020 Central Europe Cup → Central Europe Cup – In light of the cancellation and result of the recent AfD, in which there was no consensus that this edition meets notability guidelines, I'm formally proposing that this be moved and rewritten as the main tournament article. Much of the content here already relates to the tournament in general, and this edition can be best summarised in a few sentences. wjematherplease leave a message... 10:45, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Move While the closer rejected the deletion request as there was no consensus that this edition did not meet notability guidelines, I agree that the page should now be moved. I have updated the page content accordingly. Probably would have just been bold and moved it as soon as news of the cancellation came through. Bs1jac (talk) 13:09, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Move Given that it's a pretty low calibre event, a generic article is more than sufficient, the 2020 event being the 7th. Nigej (talk) 15:45, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Move Reasons are obvious. Human (talk) 17:48, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
Closure comment After the move, I hope Wjemather,Bs1jac,Nigej,Human, will fix the article as proposed. Best regards Megan☺️ Talk to the monster 06:59, 21 September 2020 (UTC)
Poland
edit@Bs1jac and Lugnuts: Should Poland cricket team have an article? If this event is notable enough they might need an article? I mean some teams were never part of ICC like Poland and still have articles. Human (talk) 15:42, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- They're not an ICC member, but if you can find some coverage on them, then yes. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 16:20, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- I suspect nobody created a page for them as they are not ICC members, but as a national team there certainly could be one (e.g. Iceland national cricket team). Would need to get enough info on them for a stub though. Bs1jac (talk) 18:52, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
Rescheduled(?)
edit@Bs1jac and Lugnuts: Hi. Czarsports claims that this tournamemt will be taking place later in 2021 in Czechia [1]. Thanks. Human (talk) 19:06, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
- @A Simple Human: Hi, yeah I saw that too. I am going to be extra cautious with this one! Bs1jac (talk) 19:08, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
- Good spot, although May is a long way off just yet in the current climate! Fingers crossed things are going in the right direction. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 19:19, 9 February 2021 (UTC)
