Requested move 13 March 2024
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. From a cursory glance of non-OFC sources, adoption of the new name is sufficient that COMMONNAME does not bar the move. (closed by non-admin page mover) Sceptre (talk) 00:02, 29 March 2024 (UTC)

- Well, neither does FIFA. [4] Yoblyblob (Talk) :) 18:29, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

- Weak support as sources do seem to be mostly using "men's". Though the last one should just add men's not change article name format too i.e. I'm only supporting move to 2024 OFC Men's Nations Cup qualification. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:29, 16 March 2024 (UTC)
- Support per Joseph. No justification for changing the naming structure of the qualification article. Stevie fae Scotland (talk) 09:29, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. I'm not seeing a strong WP:COMMONNAME argument either way here, and WP:CONSISTENCY (with most other tournament titles) and WP:CONCISE would both suggest retaining the shorter title. — Amakuru (talk) 16:25, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
- Strong support - seems to be a WP:COMMONAME, also adopted by tournament organizers and media. No issue here for me. We need to collectively as a project stop immediately shutting down anything associated with disambiguating men's and women's football. I feel like a lot of oppose votes originate from that, not just here but in other past discussions. Paul Vaurie (talk) 23:44, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
2020 edition in the infobox
edit@Yoblyblob: Yes, cancelled previous tournaments should be mentioned, but not in the infobox, which is only for quick facts and should be minimally cluttered. Precedents in other articles may exemplify good practice, but may as well be violations of good practice. --Theurgist (talk) 22:46, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
