Proper nouns

edit

Talking about "the group" is not a proper noun. References to the "303d Bombardment Group" or even the "303d Group" are and should be capitalized. Even though the context makes it clear that the group referred to is the 303d, that does not make it a proper noun when just referring to "the group." I agree that usage should be consistent throughout the article, but this is best accomplished by lower case usage where the number is not used. See MOS:MILTERMS (comparing two incorrect items, "the Company took heavy losses" -- should be company -- with "The 3rd battalion retreated" -- shoule be 3d Battalion. --Lineagegeek (talk) 23:04, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

This usage is wildly inconsistent across Wikipedia military articles, including this one. Thank you for the link to Wikipedia usage. Yours, Wikiuser100 (talk) 23:25, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
Believe it is consistent now. Yours, Wikiuser100 (talk) 23:27, 28 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
