B class assessment
editHi Zawed. Some queries.
- "During Case Blue, it was active in the fighting in Kursk in the summer of 1942" At the start of Case Blue Kursk had been miles behind the German lines for 6 months. Am I missing something?
- Source does say "fighting around Kursk (April-June 1942)". I have revised slightly. Zawed (talk) 00:29, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
- "it advanced to the Volga and then onto the Don River" Given that it would have had to cross the Don to reach the Volga, could you elaborate on this a little?
- Rephrased. I think this came about due to my misinterpretation of the source; it was referring to the Volga campaign of Case Blue. Zawed (talk) 00:29, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
- "was involved in the Nikopol–Krivoi Rog Offensive" A natural reading of this would suggest that the division was on the offensive. Perhaps "was involved in defending against the Nikopol–Krivoi Rog Offensive" or similar?
- Rephrased. Zawed (talk) 00:29, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
- "its divisional headquarters having already been detached and transferred" Is that the headquarters of the 387th Division or the 258th?
- Clarified now. Zawed (talk) 00:29, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
