Honorius closing the Flavian Amphitheatre in 405?
editI'm trying to find authoritative corroboration of this. If he did do it, it didn't stay closed for long. In either case, the self-published work of a political activist with a background in religious studies and philosophy is not a suitable reference. Dppowell 04:33, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Found it. Honorius did not close the Colosseum; he abolished gladiator combat. Other events continued. Dppowell 04:45, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Oookay. He closed the gladiator schools in 399, and abolished gladiator combat in the Colosseum in 405. Colosseum remained open at all times. Fixing entry. Dppowell 03:58, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
