Place of origin entry
editCan someone please explain me where did the idea that the AGM-142 origin is in USA come from? As far as I know it was developed by Israel solely-please check it out. Oh, and another thing-the popeye turbo range was reported to be ~1500 km and not 320 km as written in the article.
Title
editIt would be useful to have the Israeli manufacturers official name, Popeye, in addition to the US designation in the page title since the current situation causes confusion similar to titling Soviet/Russian weapons only by NATO code names but leaving out their actual names or designation numbers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.65.199.123 (talk) 06:58, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
- Agree Which is the correct complete original denomination? DPdH (talk) 16:00, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
- Agree Denomination: http://www.rafael.co.il/Marketing/332-892-en/Marketing.aspx Flayer (talk) 16:33, 19 October 2011 (UTC)
- Agree But just change the name to Popeye and leave the US name in the text of the article intro.79.183.206.197 (talk) 19:09, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
Variants
editThis article seems to mostly describe the short range standoff Popey variant with little mention until past where a wikipedia article of this type typically ends of the Popeye Turbo cruise missile and the Popeye SLCM both of which need to be better integrated or split into their own pages as they are both substantially different weapons in capability and use. From looking at the history this probably happened when first written that the editor thought the standoff Popeye was a US made weapon and so only described the type purchased by the US Air Force, variants were added later and the title changed on an already well written if incorrect completed page.79.177.200.244 (talk) 18:06, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- There is no data about Popeye Turbo / Popeye SLCM, only speculations. Flayer (talk) 21:11, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

Popeye Turbo split
editThere are several variants listed but the Popeye Turbo ALCM and especially the alleged nuclear SLCM are substantially different from the rocket powered standoff versions, since most of this article and the tables are for the standard popeye/have nap standoff missile, and considering the strategic importance of the Dolphin/Popeye Turbo for nuclear deterrance should there be a split so the jet powered cruise missiles get their own page?79.182.107.158 (talk) 06:38, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
editCyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
