Notability

edit

from Wikipedia:Notability_(books):

5. The book's author is so historically significant that any of his or her written works may be considered notable. This does not simply mean that the book's author is him/herself notable by Wikipedia's standards; rather, the book's author is of exceptional significance and the author's life and body of work would be a common study subject in literature classes.

This is a book by Howard Zinn, probably the best known historian to the general public. Why wasn't this taken into consideration by the person who's questioning its notability? It ridiculous stuff like this that's driving people away from Wikipedia. -- LGagnon 23:14, 26 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

To add to this, this book is now Zinn's last book (as of his recent death), which should give it some about of notability. -- LGagnon 17:41, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
