New ?
editI have lived in Lochaber for over 30 years and never heard it referred to as "New Achnacarry" and I don't think I have seen that on maps. --jmb 22:05, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
- I just had a look around the Web and the only references to "New Achnacarry" as a place are those derived from this article on Wikipedia. There are a number of references to "new Achnacarry" but these are just about the new house being built in the early 19th Century. I suggest that the name of the article is restored to "Achnacarry". --jmb 11:02, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Move
editCan this page be reverted back to Achnacarry and a page to redirect from "New Achnacarry" to "Achnacarry". I have found no reference to the name "New Achnacarry" except the renaming of this page. I put the comment above on here a couple of weeks ago and no one has justified the renaming. --jmb 07:32, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
This article has been renamed from New Achnacarry to Achnacarry as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 08:03, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Moved back from Achnacarry, Scotland as there were no other Achnacarries to disambiguate, and in any case this one is the source of the name elsewhere in the world, and has enough claims to international fame to deserve the primary article name. Le Deluge (talk) 13:24, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Merge proposal
editProposing merger as there is significant overlap between the two articles as they currently stand. --Haruth (talk) 02:54, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
