Jersey descent
editI am almost certain that he is from Jersey. The fact that John Le Fondré Jr is from there reinforces my claim. I can't find a reliable source though. Spiderone (talk) 08:26, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Could equally be Guernsey where the family originates. In fact I think it's a shade more likely Guernsey - the proportion of the population who evacuated in 1940 was greater there than in Jersey. A cursory glance at the marriage index suggests the person that needs to be traced is one Stanley J F Le Fondre (1928-73) --87.244.67.218 (talk) 20:17, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Is this really relevant? I've met the lad and he's Stockport through and through, gallic name or no.196.3.50.254 (talk) 14:07, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

On the 26th august 2011, Le Fondre signed a 3 year deal with Reading Fc, for an undisclosed fee. Commenting about the move Le Fondre was quoted as saying "If Simon Church can get in the team, this championship football malarkey should be a piece of piss"

- Do you have a source for this? --Jnorton7558 (talk) 00:53, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

- Support per nom. I actually know someone with this surname and he capitalises the L too (not that that by itself would mean that ALF does, but the Tweet above indicates that he does indeed) -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 12:05, 26 April 2021 (UTC)
