Splitting Off Operational History

edit

It looks like the development section contains a lot of info on the combat history of the drone, would it make sense to create a separate section for operational history and pull that stuff out of the section on development? AlchemistsFire (talk) 22:30, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Mistaken price information in Barron's article

edit

The Barron's article is behind a paywall so I can't verify for sure, but the Google blurb suggests that it states that the unit cost of the 300 is $70K. Multiple other sources including the one I cited from NBC News states it is $6K. An article from the Defence34 site gives a $70K price tag on the "AeroVironment switchblade" in the context of a section discussing the Switchblade 600. However the sentence does not explicitly state the model number. If the Barron's article does say the 300 is $70K, the cite should be discarded in favor of the defence24 article. Recent Additions

edit

Added Operators section below design. With that, added current operators with references. Would need to add a "operators" map in the future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZxDCB (talkcontribs) 09:44, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Phoenix Ghost

edit

There's a new drone, dubbed the "Phoenix Ghost" apparently being sent to Ukraine. It's been compared to the Switchblade but no concrete ties given. Should it get an entry on this page or it's own page? https://breakingdefense.com/2022/04/meet-phoenix-ghost-the-us-air-forces-new-drone-designed-for-ukraines-war-with-russia/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Delta901 (talkcontribs) 19:07, 21 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Differentiation between 300 and 600 models

edit

This is a good article, but was clearly written when the 300 was the only model, and IMHO either needs some work updating it to include the 600 or the 600 needs its own article. For example, the lead says it's "miniaturized" and is "small enough to fit in a backpack"—neither of which really apply to the 600. The article then goes on to discuss the development, etc. without specifying that it's exclusively documenting the 300. Not sure the best solution, and I don't have the time to devote, but just a friendly suggestion from an appreciative reader. Thanks! Ekpyros (talk) 18:28, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
