editIf Diego Salcedo died in 1511, as per his entry, how did Agueybana rise into revolt and get shot in 1510 already? Did Agueybana revolt a year before Salcedo's death?
He died about 1509 or early 1510, alot of poeple confuse him the "Bishop" of the same name. Here's a reference by historian Ricardo Alegria as to what happeded: "The Drowning of Diego Salcedo". Tony the Marine 06:11, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
Arrival of the conquistadors error
editIn the Arrival of the conquistadors section, it says that guaitiao means friends, and that Juan Ponce de León and Agüeybaná's wives exchanged names. Guaitiao is actually a Taíno ritual in which Juan Ponce de León and Agüeybaná exchanged their names, not their wives'. I will be correcting the error as soon as possible.Boricuaeddie 03:01, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Honors
editI tnink this section should be renamed "legacy", as in other articles.Boricuaeddie 14:02, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

editIt would be interesting to know church opinion on this article.
Split article
editEach of these two caciques had their own separate share of stories and, finally, their own legacy. I think the article should be split into two articles, one per individual. My name is Mercy11 (talk) 13:58, 8 July 2012 (UTC), and I approve this message.
