Do not change the link for Agatha Harkness
editAgatha Harkness has a page for herself and therefor shouldn´t be changed, why would anybody want to see Agatha Harkness on the list of Marvel Cinema characters when they could simply see her page itself? @Merlyn26 StrongALPHA (talk) 07:34, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- WP:MCULINKS, we expect in-universe links to be the MCU link. Where that redirect goes is up for discussion, it should point to the place with the best information about the MCU version of that character. But we should use the MCU link regardless of where it points. - adamstom97 (talk) 08:39, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- Agree with what adamstorm97 already said. But also, this is even beyond the MCU a standard practice, see various James Bond articles for example where we link specifically to that movies James Bond, and not just James Bond as a general character. How movies portray a character compared to its source material can vastly differ to the point where linking to the source material's article is practically irrelevant. And that is especially the case with how the MCU portrays Agatha Harkness compared to her comic book counterpart, whom basically only share a name and basic color scheme (although the comics are turning her into a villainous role now too, but I digress). Cast and characters spoiler
editShould the cast and characters section reveal that William Kaplan is Billy Maximoff when it's a major plot point in the season? 64.135.139.218 (talk) 23:14, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
Move?
editHow do we feel about possibly moving this page to just Agatha All Along, given an argument can be made that this series has now surpassed the song in terms of notability and can therefore be regarded as the primary topic? This is what the all-time pageviews look like, in case there are recentism concerns. InfiniteNexus (talk) 23:25, 2 November 2024 (UTC)
- I think it may be too early to tell since the show has only just finished airing. If it continues to be considerably more sought-after than the song when it isn't being released then I think we would have a stronger argument for the move. - adamstom97 (talk) 10:08, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- While I think it is mostly inevitable that this series becomes the primary topic over time, it may be a bit too early to make this call, as Adam pointed out, the series just concluded. Trailblazer101 (talk) 20:47, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
Wiccan
editI noticed this was recently added to the Cast section; I've removed it for now. While I'm aware that one of the costume designers used the name "Wiccan" in a set video, this was never used in the series itself, similar to "Quicksilver", "Professor X", "Liz Allan/Toomes", "Katy Bashir/Chen", etc. I don't think anyone else from Marvel has used the name "Wiccan" either. InfiniteNexus (talk) 18:40, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- Agreed that it should not be used, he does not go by that name in the show and is not credited as it. - adamstom97 (talk) 19:02, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
- I also agree on this. Considering I just reverted another instance of this change, we may want to consider making this more clear in the article itself, if there are sources which discuss not using the comic book name. Trailblazer101 (talk) 17:41, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
