Restored intro

Changes to intro deleted important info and misattributed references, so I restored the original intro. Remainder of article, from second para forward, seems to be more of an argument about alcohol than a discussion about alcohol dementia, but I haven't the time to edit it now. I completely agree, and I will try to help within the next few days if someone else doesn't get here first. I'm someone that doesn't drink alcohol at all, and would prefer a complete ban on it, and even I think that it's much too biased against alcohol consumption. Deleted section on "What Alcohol Does to the Brain and Body". It's very good information, and probably belongs on Wikipedia, but it's peripheral to this particular article. It belongs in a separate article, or under the more general Alcohol article.--TheEditrix2 17:04, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Can the writer or anyone who can help to clarify certain point

I'm now translating this article into Traditional Chinese. I need clarification: "ARD patients often have symptoms of both forms, i.e. impaired ability to plan, apathy, and memory loss." while "Alcohol-related dementia presents as a global deterioration in intellectual function with memory not being specifically affected," ARD seemed to affect the memory to a great extent, but the 2nd statement says it doesn't.
