Destitution

"…he asked for his destitution" makes no sense at all. Destitution means utter impoverishment. What is the intended word, either in English or Romanian? - Jmabel | Talk 08:42, 16 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

it comes from the romanian expression "a cerut sa fie destituit" and it has the approx. meaning "he asked for the approval of his resignation". Mihai -^talk 08:47, 16 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
