Merger proposal
editFormal request has been received to merge the articles Amadio degli Amidei, Hugh dei Lippi Uggucioni and Alexis Falconieri into a new article Seven Holy Founders; dated: January 2019. Proposer's Rationale: The first two pages have virtually no information (the third does contain information), but all can be incorporated together (with the remaining four) since they are collectively referred to/identified as a group rather than individually, therefore it is all on one page that is easy to read/access. Pinging proposer @Lord Sidious 82:. Discuss here. Richard3120 (talk) 13:14, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
- That makes sense. The Falconieri page does indeed contain some content, but it is copy-pasted from a non-neutral source from over a century ago, so is of very doubtful value (it was also, until just now, without attribution of the PD source). On the other hand, given the extreme scarcity of reliable sources about these people – even their names are not known with any certainty – it might make more sense to cover them in a brief section of the main article, and split it off only if it becomes large enough to justify a standalone page. - I think that more sources needed to be consulted first before deciding on what to include on a potential page. In doing this, it makes the article a bit more credible, rather than basing it on mere supposition. Covering them in the main article (Servite page) would also work given the fact these individuals were founders; however, a page of their own could work based solely on what sources are attributed (and their credibility), as I have seen this in cases of martyrs (little information on the individuals, so collated in one easily traversable page rather than small individual pages).
