Arthur or Alfred?

edit

I've removed When the original citation was printed in the London Gazette (Issue 29371, dated 18 Nov 1915, published 16 Nov 1918), his first name was given as Arthur. An Amendment printed in London Gazette issue 29381 (published 26 Nov 1915) corrected this to Alfred. because it doesn't fit the rest of the article or the regimental site which indicate "Arthur" is correct. Is someone able to clarify what's going on? —A bit iffy (talk) 07:29, 16 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

All the primary sources (birth/death/marriage index) and his Times obituary call him Alfred. MilborneOne (talk) 17:23, 10 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
