Almacenes Tía → Tía – I have no idea why this is called "Almacenes Tía". In Spanish, "almacenes" just means "stores", and does not seem to form part of either the official name or common name of this company. In Spanish Wikipedia, it's there as a disambiguating phrase ("es:tía" means "aunt"), but French Wikipédia also calls it this, and redirects fr:tía to it. Tía already redirects to it, so per WP:CONCISE I think we should move it over. 85.238.91.68 (talk) 01:33, 6 March 2020 (UTC) —Relisting. Steel1943 (talk) 18:01, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
- It was moved moved from "Tía SA" on 28 November 2013 by User:Colombia678. 85.238.91.68 (talk) 01:38, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose per Proceedings of the International Conference on Information Álvaro Rocha, Teresa Guarda - 2018 "The retail companies or supermarkets from which the data was collected were Mi Comisariato, Supermaxi and Almacenes Tía; evidencing that they mainly work with three social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram." - OK, the paper is here on Google Books . Immediately below the use, in the table, it's written as "Tía S. A." without the "Almacenes". 85.238.91.68 (talk) 06:02, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yes because that is a repeat use. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:13, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

- Support as the sufficiently WP:RECOGNIZABLE WP:COMMONNAME. However, Ecuadorian newspapers do regularly refer to this company as "Almacenes Tía" [1][2][3][4][5] with capitalization although it is not the official name. – Thjarkur (talk) 11:24, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
- Unforunately those references are all in Spanish and so do nothing to establish what the common name is in English. 85.238.91.68 (talk) 06:03, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
- Sure, am just mentioning that "Almacenes" didn't appear out of nowhere. It's not a part of the public facing brand so I support your proposal. – Thjarkur (talk) 12:23, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
- I know, and thanks for that. It would be ideal to find it in an Ecuadorean English-language source. 85.238.91.68 (talk) 06:30, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

- Comment perhaps I should have made clear that "Almecenes" was not used in the article at all (it was in the title of one reference). I've added it to the first sentence with this edit, using one of the references Thjarkur provided. 85.238.91.68 (talk) 08:00, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
