Talk:Alsace-Lorraine Independent Brigade (France)

Cultural Relevance

edit

Someone familiar with modern French culture could write a section titled "The Alsace-Lorraine Brigade in popular culture" as the brigade has become something of an icon representing the partnership of the French people and France's army during the fighting in 1944-45 that finally expelled the German military from France. Having a commander as famous as Malraux certainly has helped the brigade be retained in popular memory. W. B. Wilson 12:36, 10 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image:Malraux-Freund-1935.jpeg is a copyrighted image whose fair-use justification does not include its usage on Alsace-Lorraine Brigade (France). WP:NONFREE #Enforcement says it has to be removed from this article, unfortunately, so I did that by replacing it with a free image of Malraux; it's not nearly as good, but perhaps it is better than nothing.
