Name
editAmalie Kaercher is incorrect, as in German both Kaercher as well as Kärcher are existing as family names, the file should be moved to Amalie Kärcher. AVS (talk) 11:25, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
Dates
editThere are a lot of different versions of her dates around on the internet. Reliable sources would be welcome. PamD 13:15, 25 March 2018 (UTC)

editThe RKD says that Amalie Kärcher was born in Durlach (see RKD database, which took over the information from AKL (Saur), vol. 79 (2013), p.86). That's wrong. AKL (Saur) takes his information from Dresch / Rössling (1993). Dresch / Rössling made a mistake in finding their source. Because the father of Amalie was born in Durlach, they searched the dates of birth of Durlach for their date of birth. In 1819 they were able to find a birth entry for Kärcher (http://www.landesarchiv-bw.de/plink/?f=4-1219438-97). But this birth entry is the entry for the cousin of Amalie.
In reality, the parents of Amalie Kärcher lived in this time in Rüppurr, a small village near Karlsruhe. This village is part of Karlsruhe since 1907th. The true birth entry for Amalie Kärcher can be found in the birth records of Rüppurr (http://www.landesarchiv-bw.de/plink/?f=4-1219023-149): * 4. August 1819. The RKD says that Amalie Kärcher deceased in 1887. That's right. The day of decease is † 15. July 1887 in Karlsruhe (https://digital.blb-karlsruhe.de/blbz/periodical/pageview/4224544). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eddieli (talk • contribs) 15:17, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
