Contested deletion
editThis page is not unambiguously promotional, because it has been cited throughout (from reputable and independent sources) and presents a balanced and accurate reflection of the subject's life and high profile career. The tone is neutral and has been written to reflect the actual passage of events. If you have any issues with any specific areas, I would be happy to discuss these with you / re-write. - @Stevenageman1987: I have removed the speedy tag, an article on a CEO of a major insurance company (that I have been a customer of at one point) can probably be salvaged in some way. You may find it helpful to consult Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red or experienced editors such as Megalibrarygirl for assistance. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:14, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Ritchie333: Howdy! I'll take a look. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 18:02, 11 July 2020 (UTC)

Some proposed changes
editHello - I work at Aviva and would like to suggest some updates to our Group CEO Amanda Blanc's page.
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. |
- Specific text to be added or removed: Please can we add this wording at the end of the Career section:
In addition to being appointed as HMG’s Women in Finance Champion[1], she also sits on the Prime Minister’s Business Council[2] and the board of the Geneva Association[3], is co-Chair of HM Treasury’s Transition Plan Task force[4], a member of GFANZ[5] and the FCA Practitioner Panel[6] and a World Wildlife Fund Ambassador[7].
Blanc is known for her charismatic leadership and has been named Woman of Achievement by Women in the City[8], featured on Yahoo Finance's list of 100 Women Executives[9] and Forbes list of the World's 100 most powerful women[10].
- Reason for the change: We'd like to suggest these updates to ensure Ms Blanc's Wikipedia page is as up to date as possible.
- References supporting change: URLs added throughout the above.
Many thanks for your time HayleySandford (talk) 15:47, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
- Not done for now: Of all those requests I deemed only Forbes as noteworthy, due to both notability of the appointments themselves as well as the sources provided. PK650 (talk) 08:10, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
