American Austin Car Company and American Bantam is essentially the same company and both articles are very short. Perhaps the articles should be merged ? Bukvoed 12:56, 2 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

WWII Jeep

edit

Please check the facts in regards to the design of the WWII Jeep. The Jeep design was a Bantam design, however they did not have the manufacturing capability to produce the number of Jeeps that the government wanted. While the design was used, the contract was issued to both Ford and Willys and Bantam went on to produce Jeep trailers. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.161.252.139 (talkcontribs).

I admit I'm not a specialist, but I think it would be wrong to say that Willys MB was the same design as Bantam's BRC 40 (although its roots were in Bantam's design). But you are right, the section needed some work. Hope it's better now. Bukvoed 07:38, 11 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Donald Duck's car

edit

I quote from the article: "American Bantam's 1938 model is famous for being the inspiration for Donald Duck's car. Donald Duck's car was first seen on Don Donald (1937)." Anyone else who thinks it is strange to have Mr. Duck drive a car that hadn't been marketed yet? Mark in wiki (talk) 16:21, 10 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Donald Duck's Car

edit

Where does the year 1938 come from? I think the earlier American Austin cars from early 1930s look more like Donald's 313. Especially the front radiator shape, which is rounded in Bantam, but flat in Austin and 313. 109.240.175.208 (talk) 02:14, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
