Kesha or Ke$ha
editWhy is the name spelt with an 's' and not a '$'? Wolfer68 said that's "not how it's done on wikipedia". Why? Her name is not Kesha, but Ke$ha. Why should Wikipedia be any different? Adabow (talk) 23:39, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Song name wrong
editIn regards to the song named stephen, it's actually called Mr Watson. Check it out please - —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.220.159.101 (talk • contribs)
- Do you have a reference, please? - Adolphus79 (talk) 18:31, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
- I have seen a lot of confusion about this on the internet, for reasons I am unsure of. Ke$ha sings both "Mr. Watson"(in which Kesha lusts after her history teacher) and "Stephen"(in which Kesha describes her stalker-esque feelings for Stephen). However, only "Stephen" appears on her debut album, Animal. The album's official track list features "Stephen", not "Mr. Watson". - 67.174.94.95 (talk) 12:57, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
2nd single
editBlah Blah Blah isn't the second official single yet. It may be Your Love Is My Drug, Take It Off, Backstabber or Kiss N Tell (it isn't confirmed yet).--HC 5555 (talk) 16:42, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Shouldn't Blah Blah Blah be mentioned anyway? It's charting at #1 on the USA itunes before TiK ToK? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.183.163.138 (talk) 16:41, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Blah Blah Blah is already being played on the radio so its obviously the next single.98.199.171.182 (talk) 19:15, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- Radio play does not mean it's the next single. Radio stations play songs based on who requests them, not by what the label sends out, necessarily. A recent example would be the song "Telephone" by Lady Gaga and Beyoncé; the song isn't scheduled to be released until Tuesday and it is already getting loads of airplay.
- When "Blah Blah Blah" gets a release date, that will be official confirmation that it's a single. –Chase (talk) 20:37, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
- But I found the Music Video for "Blah Blah Blah"

She's not number one yet.
edit^^^ this was your source and you failed to mention that it was a projection of what COULD happen. Only plausible information that could be used was its number of copies sold. Come back with an update and proof on Wednesday when the Billboard charts are updated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.228.139.26 (talk) 20:57, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
Mr. Watson
editI got the CD, but when I play the track listed as Stephen, it plays Mr. Watson. What's up with that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.77.173.236 (talk) 04:13, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Does anyone have any info on these songs?
editDisgusting and Get in Line, are they bonus tracks? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.199.171.182 (talk) 20:12, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Track list and Dinosaur
editI think the track list was better with the blue and white track list - I mean this one:
No. | Title | Length |
---|
Please change it back, the current style sucks!
PLUS, the song Dinosaur written like this: D.I.N.O.S.A.R. - D.I.N.O.$.A.R is the stylized form. If we change this S into a $ then we have to do that in all the other songs and that's not possible, it's just not right! - so please stop changing it. I bought the CD and I have a proof, a citation. Here it is: [1]Ahmedfarhat (talk) 20:49, 22 January 2010 (UTC)
- old link :( —Iknow23 (talk) 01:05, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
- We generally do not use the tracklist template unless in complicated circumstances, per WP:ALBUM#Track listing. Is this a complicated case? Not at all. Also, regarding the song "D.I.N.O.S.A.U.R.," we substitute the "$" with an "S" per MOS:TM – we cannot use symbols that stand in for letters or words here on Wikipedia. –Chase (talk) 03:48, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
Dirty Picture
editThe song on Kesha's album is a different version to that Cruz's. .. This one is billed as 'dirty picture pt. 2' and that is exactly how it reads on this nice copy of Animal infront of me. think it's pretty stupid to keep changing it. I some are just being awkward about. Realiable source? Hmm. Think someone should go to the realiable source help desk and discuss this one out. It's just silly.RAIN the ONE (Talk) 00:19, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
- hmmm. Why not go to http://www.keshasparty.com/uk/music/animal and click at bottom left "Send Us Feedback" and explain the confusion to them. Nothing better than having the official site correct their info. I'd suggest that you give them the SPECIFIC webpage of http://www.keshasparty.com/uk/music/animal for their convenience in knowing which EXACT one of their pages you are referring to. Hope this helps. :)—Iknow23 (talk) 00:56, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Thought I'd take a look at Amazon UK. But it doesn't show "pt. 2" either. It shows "Dirty Picture (Taio Cruz feat Ke$ha)".—Iknow23 (talk) 01:41, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Critical reception.
editThe existing section is great, but the album was released in the UK a month later which brought some new (and from established source) reviews such as the Independent, The Guardian and the BBC. Perhaps those can be included? Just a thought :) 155.69.192.144 (talk) 04:44, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

Dbibirs
editI don't know where to report this, but this user has been defacing all pages associated with Kesha and this last edit has probably gone way beyond the line, posting links to illegal content. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Animal_%28Kesha_album%29&action=historysubmit&diff=345420810&oldid=345349888 Can someone do something about this user? 155.69.192.2 (talk) 00:27, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
- It was just some moron who doesn't like Kesha for some very odd reason, lol. I reported him/her and the person has been blocked for good, thankfully! Percxyz (Call me Percy, it's easier) 03:51, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Release history
editThe release dates can be found at the different versions of her official website, e.g. Spain (by the way January 1, 2010 is wrong) Fixer23 (talk) 10:22, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
- Someone just needs to add them to the article similar as was done at "Tik Tok" article.—Iknow23 (talk) 02:04, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
Bonus Tracks?
editI think there's a bonus track on this album called Chain Reaction that has not been mentioned in the tracklist or the article at all.
In fact, I think there's multiple.
Someone want to confirm then add missing Bonus Tracks in?
—Preceding unsigned comment added by Cybersteel8 (talk • contribs) 06:03, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- The only official bonus tracks on Animal are listed on the article. Percxyz (Call me Percy, it's easier) 06:48, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Singles section
editDoesn't seem to be very useful, all of its information overlaps, except for that one sentence by Kelsey Paine. Is it an essential part of the article, or can it be removed or could information from the release and reception be removed making the singles section standalone and less useless? Fixer23 (talk) 04:26, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

editsince when is blind kesha's next single and since when is it being release don June 18th?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Andy775433 (talk • contribs) 16:39, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- It's not. Kesha stated she wanted it to be released so people could see another side to her. It was in some interview. but it seems her label have chosen "Take It Off" instead. At this stage, It's not the 4th single :)58.161.68.159 (talk) 03:42, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
4th Single Official
editNot to be annoying...just saying...it's confirmed 'Take It Off' is the fourth single chosen over 'Kiss n Tell'.
Sources? 1. She's said it......? 2. She's been performing it. 3. http://www.aolradioblog.com/2010/06/15/kesha-take-it-off/ AOL confirmed. Lots of other sites too...so I suggest a page for itself soon. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.180.32.120 (talk) 05:03, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Its not going to be added until we have an actual release date. All reliable sources that state its the next single contain to actual release date. Its still speculation at this point. (CK)Lakeshade✽talk2me 05:06, 18 June 2010 (UTC)
- Most of the time you'll find out definitely if a single will be released via an airplay add date site, so keep check on Allaccess.com and FMQB.com Candyo32 (talk) 05:40, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

Why won't you include her setlist performed on Rihanna's "Last Girl on Earth Tour"????
editI posted it here once before and Wikipedia has removed it: • Video Intro--Right Round, Blah Blah Blah, Dinosaur, Party at a Rich Dude's House, Take It off, Stephen, Your Love is My Drug, and Tik-Tok —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.108.5.129 (talk) 22:02, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

5th Single
editCunxtTesday has been confirmed as the 5th single in Australia by The Music Release Network. Should that be added to the article, with an official radio add date? Thanks.--JackSUNxD (talk) 09:19, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
- Ill keep and eye on it. I highly doubt its a single because shes re-releasing the album in two months. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 18:28, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
- Mmmm, true. And usually that site has a cover and everything with the radio add. But this time they haven't been given a cover, or a description about it. So it might be just a possibility. OR (very unlikely) CUNexTuesday is on the Re-Release so other countries (not just aus and asia) can buy it. Idk. But I think, from how little info there is, it might be a "Just in-case" single.--JackSUNxD (talk) 05:33, 21 September 2010 (UTC)
Copyright material
edit<Redacted quoted material> is directly copied from here. This is a copyright violation and has been removed from the article. Do this with any other material that you copied directly from your sources without putting into your own words. - reworded to "Kesha had been recording demos for a several years, when one of her demos eventually ended up in the hands of Samantha Cox, senior director of writer/publisher relations at BMI. Cox had previously done work with Kesha before and it was Cox who passed along her demos to a friend at BMI, who eventually passed it to the manager of Lukasz Gottwald." - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 05:10, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for your prompt attention to this. I have removed the copy I put up here as well, and will resume working on the article tomorrow. --Diannaa (Talk) 05:20, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- I think it could be reworded even more; that is quite some close paraphrasing there. Something like this would be less of a copyright violation: "Having recorded demos for several years, Kesha's work was noticed by Samantha Cox, senior director of writer/publisher relations at Broadcast Music Incorporated. Cox had previously worked with Kesha, and it was she who was ultimately responsible for bringing Kesha's music to the attention of producer Lukasz Gottwald". Just my opinion, having done research papers for university and learning sooo much about plagiarism lol. Yvesnimmo (talk) 05:24, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- ...But I guess if that's enough of a paraphrase for a peer review, then it's okay. Yvesnimmo (talk) 05:25, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- If you want to change it to that please do. I just rewrote it so i did/or the article didnt get slapped with a giant copyright violation tag. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 05:28, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

I think this is a similar situation as here at The Fame where it would be a lot less confusing and easier if Cannibal was in the chronology, even if it is an EP. --Cprice1000talk2me 22:42, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Cannibal should be listed in the chronology --Cprice1000talk2me 00:38, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
- No. Template:Infobox_album#Chronology "This group of fields establishes a chain connecting articles about an artist's albums. In a studio album article, the chain (for most artists) should include only other studio albums, excluding live albums and compilations; these other types can also have their own separate chains. For some artists it may be more appropriate to include all album types in one chain, but care must be taken to maintain the integrity of chains, so that when album "A" points to "B" as the next album, "B" points back to "A" as the last (previous) album" - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 00:42, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
- Cannibal is an important part of her career, just like Lady GaGa's The Fame Monster, which is why it is listed in her album chrono. Not every EP has a number one single and it's own international tour. --Cprice1000talk2me 00:51, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
- Again, we use rules for how we write articles, according to Template:Infobox_album#Chronology Cannibal does not belong in the same field. Its really not that hard to find the page, they link to each other in basically every article. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 00:55, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

Please look at The Fame Monster and see why this is the exact same situation. --Cprice1000talk2me 00:56, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
- WP:OTHERSTUFF argument? I dont follow how other articles are written, different articles = different consensus. Further, Cannibal, so far is not equivalent to what Monster did for Gaga's career. Again, can you not find the article without them linking? I highly doubt it. - (CK)Lakeshade - talk2me - 01:00, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
