Untitled
editok i have cut the battle section from article "ariobarzan" and pasted it in article "Battle of persian gate"
rename
editThis article should be moved to "Ariobarzanes", unarguably the most popular name. If no-one responds I'll just proceed with the move. Miskin 11:27, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Section "Family" belongs to OTHER Ariobarzan
editAs you can see it on Livius pages, there are two Ariobarzanes:
- (1) Satrap of Phrygia
- (2) Satrap of Persis
In this article, you put origins of (1) and life of (2), which makes no sense.
When I edited Croatian Wiki articles I've noticed differences, so you can find it here: (1) and (2). Good luck boys. --93.143.2.52 (talk) 17:58, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Not to get confused, there is also a third Ariobarzan from roughly the same period: English article and Croatian one. --93.143.2.52 (talk) 18:27, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

30 days
editWhat is the source of "30 days" reference in "The Persian success at the Battle of the Persian Gate was short lived though; after being held off for 30 days, Alexander the Great outflanked and destroyed the defenders." I've never seen it in print, only on the net... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.76.117.70 (talk) 02:16, 18 July 2020 (UTC)
