Cite sources
editSimply adding POV attacks on August Kreis III without cites to sources is not appropriate.--Cberlet 14:42, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Cleanup
editThe article, I think, needs cleanup principally for two reasons: (1) the tone is inappropriately informal passim (the article also surely employs exorbitantly subjective language, e.g., in its ascription of the term "erroneous" to a lawsuit against the AN, or in its imputation of a "cunning mind" to a subject); and, (2) a good portion of the article is devoted to the history of the AN and only tangentially to Kreis; surely the AN history information is best located in the AN article. Not the article on Aryan Nations
editSo please stop plopping that text here.--Cberlet 01:10, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Citation needed
editQuote: August Kreis III is a long term member & leader of the Ku Klux Klan, Posse Comitatus & Aryan Nations. Kreis spent 13 years with the KKK before rising in ranks to Aryan Nations."[citation needed]"
What part do you not beleive & need explained, the part that Kreis was a long term member of the KKK, Posse Comitatus or Aryan Nations ? All this stuff is publically announced on just about any article or tv station you read or watch in reguards to him.
Quote: Kreis is only one of two Pastors still alive to been ordained by the late Richard Girnt Butler (founder of Aryan Nations), Jay Faber is the other who is still preaching under August Kreis as Assistant Chaplain."[citation needed]"
This is also a easy one, there have only been 5 people Ordained by Butler, Neumann, Redfeairn, Kreis & Faber, here's a link to the Aryan Nations website http://www.aryan-nations.org where you can see a picture of him right on the left listed as Assistant Chaplain & here is a picture of him with Butler holding his bible when Williams was still in diapers.
- I am really sorry, I know you are annoyed, but you appear to have no idea what a "citation" is. A "citation" is not someone posting a photo and stating they "know" something is true. It means information drawn from and cited to an article published in an edited book, journal, magazine, newspaper, or website of a reputable organization. A number of such articles state that there is an ongoing factional struggle within Aryan Nations. I do not doubt that many such publications refer to Kreis as the leader of Aryan Nations. That is not being disputed. But other publications mention Williams as claiming to be the leader of Aryan Nations. Wikipedia does not pick sides in such disputes. Find a published article that mentions the factional split and declares Kreis is the legitimate leader, and that can be posted, but until Williams drops his claim or is forced to abandon it through legal action, the continuing claims by Williams also would be mentioned on Wikipedia.--Cberlet 13:25, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

No idea about the legitamacy of the content, but I copyedited this because, no offense, someone doesn't understand basic english grammar.--Isotope23 20:55, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Date of Birth?
editKlan/Ayran Nation leaders are just like everyone else in that they are born and die. Does anyone know when this "gentleman" was born? --V. Joe 21:05, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
NPov tag
editI placed a POV tag on it, because some rival faction/factor/discontented member of one of these groups has placed numerous POV remarks such as "fake" etc... Please stick with the FACTs. As follows, the facts are something like this. AKIII is a neo-nazi leader, a member of a faction of the Ayran nations. Not the fake or real, or laudable or unlaudable Ayran nations. If someone other than me would like to attempt a repair of this article, please do... and leave a (cognizant) and civil message on my talk page. Cheers V. Joe 01:16, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
I don't see any such comments on the page right now. Could be that these were edited out after the NPOV tag was applied. I'll remove the tag. Wandering Star 01:05, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Concur
editGo ahead and remove the tag. Hopefully nobody else will editoralize...
Why verify tag
editThis article is continually mangled by people active in the neo-nazi/ racialist movement. Whoever the anoynmous editors are keep disputing by changing Kreis' precise role in the Ayran brotherhood. Short of a personal interview with Kreis or a paper document cofirming his precise role as a member of the ayran brotherhood, it doesn't seem likely that this will be resolved any time soon. Might I suggest that we apply to have this page semi-protected?

Bad geography
editArticle says "...to Lexington, South Carolina, near Union City, Tennessee." Those two towns are nowhere close to each other. Stopde (talk) 06:15, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
Vietnam War service
editAlthough Kreis served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War era, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served near Vietnam during the war. Accordingly, Category:American military personnel of the Vietnam War was removed from the article. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 21:24, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
