Failed auditions
editI don't think the failed auditions are notable. But if they are to be in, they need to be referenced in WP:Reliable Sources. We don't need a reference tag by every singer - a reference at the start of each table is fine, but only if (a) the reference is reliable, and (b) every single person in that table is referenced. As far as I can see, very few failed auditions are covered in the current references. So better references will need to be added, or else we should delete the names of those who failed auditions. - Ok, I thought it would be notable since it's literally on the show. I imagined it would be good to have this infos registered somewhere and thought here would be the place for it, but since it's not, I'll delete it, no problems. Thanks for warning me Pedrovmoraes (talk) 01:58, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
- OK, I now see that their names appear on the broadcast, and so that counts as a reliable source. So if we include them, we need a reference note saying something to that effect. As for whether they are notable... I have not seen a list of failed auditioners on wikipedia pages of other shows. So my personal judgement is to not include them, but if consensus is to include them, then that is fine too. Adpete (talk) 03:46, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
- On The Voice there's always the list of failed auditions. I think that would be useful e.g for next seasons where we can check if an old failed contestant return to audition again. I always see people searching for this kind of info on the talent shows forums. You're right, it's not usual to find this info for this format, so I thought I could make it easier to find, keeping it in here. But as I said, if you think it isn't notable, we can delete it, no problems really Pedrovmoraes (talk) 13:58, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
- OK, you've made the case that it is interesting for some people. Happy to keep it. Don't be surprised if someone else decides no, but you can always retrieve it from the history. Adpete (talk) 22:12, 12 February 2023 (UTC)

Songs on results' night
editUnless I am missing something: the songs on the results' night are sung after voting has closed, but eliminations are on the public vote. So this means these songs have no bearing on the results; they are just a way to pad out the show. So we should not label them as a "sing-off", and not phrase the article or tables to suggest that they have a bearing on the results. Adpete (talk) 02:10, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
Bottom 3?
editThe elimination chart distinguishes "bottom 3" and "bottom 4". However, before results are read out the hosts say something like "in no particular order". So if a contestant is in the bottom 4 but safe, we have no way of knowing whether they were in the bottom 3, so I am removing that category. Adpete (talk) 23:17, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
