I think this page is relevant because the single or album is guaranteed to appear on the national music charts and is by a famous musician who has previously charted in every project, also the singles in this album have already charted nationally which should make it relevant according to Notability guideline of Wikipedia. This is also the biggest Grime album and tour in history. KING 81 (talk) 14:38, 5 August 2018 (UTC) KING 81
- Hi, @KING 81:. Wikipedia isn't allowed to predict that something will become notable later - an article has to satisfy the various requirements at all points. Additionally, this article isn't the tour - it can't "inherit" the notability from the tour or musician.
- Even more importantly, there are no references for the article, so we can't evaluate the accuracy of anything in the article, as well as whether it is a notable area.
- That said, if you want to contest the deletion and have it go through a more formal process, (called Articles for Deletion), then if you go to edit the article and delete everything between {{ and }} (including the brackets) I'll start that process. If you have difficulties doing that, let me know and I'll delete my own nomination, but it's generally less confusing for people seeing it if you choose to do so yourself. I can put references and certain parts of the album have already charted. KING 81 (talk) 14:53, 5 August 2018 (UTC) KING 81
- KING 81, individual songs might become notable without the album becoming notable - which it can't do until it is published. Your references back up certain things like the tour happening etc, but don't actually discuss the album in depth, in a reliable fashion. There is a short summary [[1]] on what is reliable. Unfortunately wikipedia has a rather all or nothing viewpoint on explanations, so the next step that covers what sources work and don't etc (here) is excessively complicated, and I wouldn't suggest reading it unless you have a couple of free hours to hand. - Again, let me know if you want to remove the deletion tag - the one there is the "uncontroversial" system, which since we're disagreeing, clearly isn't very accurate! Nosebagbear (talk) 15:13, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
I don't mind it being deleted I can just recreate the page in two weeks when the album comes out and charts. KING 81 (talk) 15:49, 5 August 2018 (UTC) KING 81
- That sounds like a good idea. Another user has redirected it to Bugzy for the meantime. You can always come here then and look in the history section, the content will still be there. Nosebagbear (talk) 15:50, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
