bamboo's roots
editi don't know who wrote the article on BAMBOO MANALAC... most of it is fairly accurate... except for him being the son of an influential political icon (Muslim family)...
i myself am a Muslim and related to BAMBOO (he is my nephew)... my mother and his paternal granfather were siblings (and they hail from the province of Pampanga...)...
i don't know his mother personally, but im pretty sure she isnt muslim either...
Offered to Rejoin Rivermaya?
editThis article doesn't cite its sources of information. For example, I think the info that Bamboo offered to rejoin Rivermaya, but Rico Blanco, its current frontman, refused is a very relevant info. It is important that this info be cited.
All Unsourced Statements
editPretty much this whole article is unsourced. One problem here is the almost total lack of information on Filipino music on the Internet. Aside from isolated sites here and there and legions of clueless dalagas on message boards ("o luvs ko ang kanta nila!!!") there's really not much to find. We really shouldn't put the controversial statements back in until they can be sourced but it would be an interesting add to the biography if we could find a source. I'm all googled out, though - anybody else?
Bamboo's real family
editBamboo's family is really messed up.
I should know since i'm his cousin. His mom is my dad's sister. He is not muslim and I know.
I see him almost every time I go to my other cousin's house. He is a Catholic and so is my family. I hope the person who made this will make this change.--Joncrimson 07:48, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Prince of Rock
editI find the Philippine Media's penchant for naming someone Prince/Princess/Queen/King of [something] very off putting. It cries out for validation. If you are good, your work will be recognize and no need for such, frankly speaking, cheesy.
Who dubbed him as such?
Who is the King of Rock then? Is Bamboo next in line or are there other member of Royal Family of Philippine Rock and Roll?

Personal Life
editBamboo grew up in San Mateo, California. He is presently married to her second wife, Bambi S. Manalac. He is in good terms with her first wife, Maureen Mababangloob, with which he has two kids. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bambi sm (talk • contribs) 22:41, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

Bamboo (singer) → Bamboo Mañalac – I'm sorry to say this but I disagree with Jojit fb's page move to "Bamboo (singer)" despite his reason here. Many reliable sources refer to him, not as simply "Bamboo", but as "Bamboo Mañalac". Israel's Son 23:34, 8 October 2015 (UTC) --Relisted. George Ho (talk) 00:24, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
- Support. I think like Charice Pempengco, Bamboo was known by his full name and as a part of Rivermaya band for the longest time before being known as a solo musician simply known as Bamboo. However, if his current name must be used, I would have preferred Bamboo (musician) as he was not "just a singer".--RioHondo (talk) 01:15, 10 October 2015 (UTC)
