editThe link to the photograph of the marker is no longer working. If anyone has a photograph of the marker please consider posting that photo in this article. I would be willing to photograph the marker myself, but I currently live on the other side of the country.

I just saw that there is a photograph of the marker again, as well as a second very nice photograph of the surrender site. I appreciate Heidelberg College for putting those photographs online.
It might seem like a bit much, but I think it would be great if somebody added the latitude and longitude coordinates of the marker. If anyone in the area has a handheld gps device maybe they could record the coordinates down to the second (or to 4 or 5 decimal places if using the decimal system). That way anyone in the world would know exactly where the marker was and could easily locate and visit the site.

Copyvio from our article
editI've just discovered this page, which copies from our article quite blatantly. Searching through the article history has demonstrated to me that the text in our page developed gradually to the state in which it now is, rather than by copy/pasting from this other page; consequently, I believe that the other website copied from here. Please don't treat this page as a copyright violation because of a page that is actually violating the copyrights of the authors of this article. Nyttend (talk) 03:00, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
I wrote the original article which has since been extensively edited. The edits have been gradual over time. I did not copy and paste anything, to the best of my memory. Although, I only used internet sources. It is my understanding that Wikipedia content is not copyrighted. I think other people are free to copy from Wikipedia if they wish. I do not know whether there are any restrictions.

Yes, that site seems to have copied from ours. Although, I do not think Wikipedia content is copyrighted.

Location of Battle
editThe following report gives the location of the battle as Columbiana County, not Carroll County. So, I have made that change. I have also updated dead links. Several links are only accessible now via the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. Although, they do still function that way. A link to the following report is provided in the actual article. Note that core areas of the battlefield occur in Carroll, Columbiana and Stark Counties. But the majority of these core areas are in Columbiana County, Ohio.
