Casualties

edit

The article says that the French lost 17,000 men, but the battle box says 3,000. Which is it? Appleseed 14:35, 2 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Oops, that's 17,000 killed and wounded, my bad. Appleseed 15:20, 2 September 2005 (UTC)Reply
But that still doesn't match the box where killed+wounded+missing amount to less than 9000.

Image

edit

According to the Sedantag article, that picture of the Brandenberg Gate was taken in 1898, not 1870. Can anyone confirm this? Drutt (talk) 08:12, 11 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

The numbers in the info box and aftermath section don't match

edit

This was raised in 2005 but they still don't match. Keted6 (talk) 21:06, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

First photo of war

edit

According to My Modern Met, there is an image of the Battle of Sedan which is thought to be the first of an actual battle. Should this be included in the article? --Icebsa (talk) 07:44, 14 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

That sounds like it would be a good addition to the article. Kevin Nelson (talk) 09:39, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Infobox "Result"

edit

Please note that Template:Infobox military conflict#Parameters states against "result" that "this parameter may use one of two standard terms: "X victory" or "Inconclusive"." The infobox has been amended to reflect this. Please read the template "result" guidance in full before amending or reverting. It would probably be best to discuss any proposed change here first to seek consensus. Thanks. Gog the Mild (talk) 21:54, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
