The result of the move request was: No consensus. This has been open for over a month and no obvious consensus has formed yet. It is safe to say relisting it again would help out in no way. Anarchyte (work | talk) 07:34, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
- Big Brother 2011 (Sweden) → Big Brother Sverige (season 5)
- Big Brother 2012 (Sweden) → Big Brother Sverige (season 6)
- Big Brother 2015 (Sweden) → Big Brother Sverige (season 7)
- Big Brother 2014 (Norway & Sweden) → Big Brother (Sweden and Norway season 3)
- Big Brother (Sweden and Norway) → Big Brother (Sweden and Norway TV series)
- Big Brother 1 (Slovenia) → Big Brother (Slovenia season 1)
- Big Brother 2 (Slovenia) → Big Brother (Slovenia season 2)
- Big Brother 3 (Slovenia) → Big Brother (Slovenia season 3)
- Big Brother 4 (Slovenia) → Big Brother (Slovenia season 4)
– I could not find sources to support that each season was individually numbered by the broadcaster or the production company for these editions. In an effort to align the naming convention guidelines of WP:BIGBRO with the established guidelines of WP:NCTV I'm proposing we move the individual season articles to the names suggested. I also included the article Big Brother (Sweden and Norway) in this discussion as it should have "TV series" as part of its disambiguator. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 23:03, 21 June 2018 (UTC) --Relisting. bd2412 T 02:15, 7 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support, as per nom. Especially the Big Brother (Sweden and Norway TV series) proposal, whose current title is just completely wrong under WP:NCTV. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 04:11, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose all - and procedural close. Per WP:ENGLISH -
should generally use the version of the name of the subject which is most common in the English language, as you would find it in reliable sources
. That's exceptionally difficult considering none of these have reliable English language references at all. The BB wikiProject needs to get their house in order. There must be some references out there which details the variations within the global franchise. I find it highly doubtful that the most common usage in English sources is the native language in the case of Big Brother Sverige (again, no english references to even establish the base series' name). -- Netoholic @ 04:53, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Netoholic: I'm just curious about this because I'm flabbergasted as why this wasn't brought up during the original move request. With the exception of the request for Big Brother (Sweden and Norway) this is the same proposal from the original that you supported. There is no master official source about the entire franchise and with the foreign language versions you really have to dig to find out the information. In the case of the Swedish version just doing a Google search returned results where best of DVDs were produced for the 2nd, 3rd & 4th seasons and they have the name Big Brother Sverge and the DVD releases also call the 2nd and 3rd seasons Big Brother 2002 and Big Brother 2003 respectively. [1][2][3] The logos/graphics for the revived edition (seasons 5-7) dropped Sverige from the title but the official Facebook account that started with the revived seasons (5-7) is named Big Brother Sverige and verified by Facebook.[4] The same thing for the show's official Instagram account. [5]. I'm also having a hard time understanding the rationale here since foreign scripted shows (i.e. telenovelas) use their original name versus the English translation. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 05:51, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- I supported the broad effort as a shotgun approach, but then I also thought that issues related to the based series names had already been handled. Its not about intentionally using a translated name, its about what name it goes by most commonly in English sources. A lot of telenovelas are referred to most commonly in their Spanish names in English sources. I think these moves need to be handled limiting them to one national series at a time, and consider carefully the base series name along with the season name. English sources should be researched and added to the articles, and linked in the move requests so that uninvolved editors can more easily see them. We can't do much without English sources. -- Netoholic @ 06:03, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- This is the first time that the base name Big Brother Sverige has been an issue. I did search to see if there were any English sources that was using a name different than Big Brother Sverige for the Swedish version and I couldn't find any. That's why when I requested the move I left the names as originally proposed in the previous RM. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 08:22, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support as long as the title really is Big Brother and not Big Brother Whatever (or something in Swedish, etc., with English-language sources preferring the non-English name). This "Big Brother x (Country_name_here)" stuff is just aberrant. We don't do that with any articles titles about anything, meanwhile we have a stable and site-wide TV convention of "Title_here (season X)", from which there is no reason to diverge in this case. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 06:20, 22 June 2018 (UTC)
- There was really no reason to mix Slovenia and Sweden together. Support the Slovenia change. Need to research more the Sweden one. --Gonnym (talk) 17:10, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- After being informed on a different move of not using the correct adjective, I've noticed we didn't use the correct one here either. This should be changed to Big Brother (Slovenian season 1) etc (as used in the series one - Big Brother (Slovenian TV series)). Gonnym (talk) 14:10, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- Neutral, but CREATE REDIRECTS no matter what happens. Paintspot Infez (talk) 18:13, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose Swedish and Norway & Sweden changes. Couldn't find even one source in English, but from the few sources in swedish listed in those articles, it seems both show's name's were just "Big Brother". So for Sweden it would be Big Brother (Swedish season 5) and for the joint show, something along the lines of Big Brother (Norwegian and Swedish season 3), Big Brother (Norwegian / Swedish season 3), Big Brother (Norwegian & Swedish season 3) (would also need to decide if its Norwegian and Swedish or Swedish and Norwegian) --Gonnym (talk) 16:55, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- But again, please just close and re-open for each series its own RM. This will be much easier. --Gonnym (talk) 16:57, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

- Comment - Are you sure those are seasons 5, 6 and 7? The article says they are 5, 8 and 10. --Gonnym (talk) 16:44, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Gonnym: Yes I'm sure it seems whoever edited these articles at the time made an error because the 2012 season is the show's sixth season not sure how it jumped from 5 to 8 there since Sweden only aired 1 season/year. For the 2015 season whoever edited these articles counted the third joint season with Norway as season 9. Big Brother in Sweden has had 7 individual seasons and 3 joint seasons with Norway for an overall total of 10 seasons in that country. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 17:15, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- Comment - I haven't voted on this as I'm going through all Big Brother articles and have yet to get to Sweden to check for sources on the name. I'm also not sure what the huge season gap might mean in terms of a continuation or new series. --Gonnym (talk) 17:14, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Gonnym: Any further thoughts here?... I'll probably come down on this one the same way you do. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:08, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support - To be honest, I have no idea what the series name is nor if the seasons are 5, 6 and 7 or a rebooted counting or anything else. These pages, like 90% of the Big Brother pages have zero sources or sources that lead nowhere so it's impossible for me to know eventhough I tried. In this situation I think the WP:ONUS should be on those that want to use a non-WP:CONSISTENT naming style - in this case "Big Brother <year> (<country>)". --Gonnym (talk) 22:11, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
